Sounds weird, eh? I was wondering today if it is appropriate to even visit there.
Usually when I go to a place I go to learn enjoy or celebrate their history or culture. Now this place is a bit different. Would you go?

I would go. You're not going with bad intentions. Just because you or anyone in your family wasn't hurt doesn't mean you can't be sympathetic. No one I knew was hurt (physically anyway) in 9/11. Doesn't keep me from almost crying everytime I go downtown and see where the towers once was and think about the horror.
I would go too. I would be very nervous, though, not sure I could handle such a shocking prove of rational madness.
